Chocolate Dipped Oreos

Beach Sweets is so cute and I fell in love with it the very first time I went there, almost two years ago. Located a few shops down from Hodad’s, the shop is friendly and filled with unique treats as well as the classics.

There are so many things from this shop that I want to try and I have only had the opportunity to try a few of them, but they have all been excellent.

Chocolate Dipped Twinkies

They have the usual’s, the things you can find at places like the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, such as chocolate dipped Twinkies and Oreos. I have tried both from here and they are really good. Their chocolate is a good consistency and the coating is just the right thickness, not too much not too little.

They also have some unique items as well, such as chocolate dipped jalapenos, chili chocolate, and the only one I have tried and personal favorite, their pop rock chocolate. It is such a bizarre mouth experience. From the look of the chocolate you can not tell there is anything different with it. Eating it is so strange, but so fun. You can’t feel the pop rocks, it’s just sweet and creamy, but your mouth pops as if you are eating the classic candy. It is a must try.

Pop Rock Chocolate

The shop also has a wall of bulk candy. The usual gummy bears, gummy worms, sour belts, chocolate dipped stuff, jelly beans, things of that nature.  Rounding off their collection they even have doggy safe chocolate treats.

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel

I highly recommend stopping in at Beach Sweets if you are in the San Diego area. They are a little pricy, but it is worth it and the staff is super friendly.
